| Descripción : | El estudio de la educación desde las distintas disciplinas sociales se ha caracterizado por ajustar a la educación al tratamiento teórico, conceptual y metodológico que le es propio a cada uno de estos dominios. No obstante el grado de institucionalización alcanzado por la esfera cognitiva y por la institución escolar, las actuales transformaciones de la sociedad, al mismo tiempo que han abierto nuevos canales de transmisión de conocimiento, también han removido las bases institucionales sobre las que tradicionalmente descansaba el proceso de socialización. Ante estas circunstancias, las ciencias sociales y en especial la sociología de la educación, se enfrentan a la ineludible tarea de posicionar a la estructura social de la educación en la intersección tradición-modernidad, para de ahí construir los
puntos de partida desde los cuales las ciencias sociales puedan contribuir a un conocimiento innovador sobre la educación. The study of the education from the different social disciplines has been characterized to fi t the education to the theoretical, conceptual and methodological treatment proper to each of these domains. However the degree of institutionalization reached by the cognitive sphere and by the institution of the school, the current changes in society, at the same time that have opened new channels for the transmission of knowledge, they have also removed the institutional bases on which traditionally rested the socialization process. In these circumstances, the social sciences and especially the sociology of education, are faced with the unavoidable task of positioning the social structure of education at the intersection tradition-modernity, and hence build starting points from which the social sciences can contribute to an innovating knowledge about education. |
